District 36 cannot provide school lunch for Crow Island, Greeley, Hubbard Woods, and Skokie because these schools lack on-site kitchens. Therefore, students must bring lunch from home or can order from Marlas Lunch through the PTO partnership.
How it works: The PTO partners with Marlas Lunch to deliver meals from local restaurants. Food is distributed directly to students or kept in PTO warming drawers.
Management: The PTO runs this program, independent of District 36, as an optional alternative to bringing lunch from home. The PTO uses the funds raised via Marla’s lunch to provide necessary support for other PTO activities within the schools.
